Working with a residence that had an existing formal Japanese Garden landscape that had been neglected and overgrown, Studio 342 came up with a new design that cleaned up the landscape to give the client and their young family more usable outdoor space. With the combination of the mature Japanese style plantings, black basalt stone, horizontal board fencing, and granite outcroppings, the new design succeeds in creating a clean, contemporary landscape with nods to a traditional Japanese garden.
