Chad Wichers
Principal Landscape Architect
Growing up in the Northwest, Chad hiked and explored the many parks, forests, and trail systems in the region. These early experiences gave him a deep appreciation for northwest landscapes and plant material. Chad mixes his familiarity with the northwest's natural environments with an appreciation for contemporary design and materials in his own personal design style. He has experience designing neighborhood and regional parks, community gardens, green-built projects, as well as many residential gardens and landscapes.
Chad is a founding partner of Studio 342. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Washington in 1999, and became a licensed landscape architect in the State of Washington in 2004. Chad has also served as a faculty lecturer in the Landscape Architecture Department at the University of Washington since 2005.

Design Process
Studio 342's team of professionals is dedicated to a client-driven design process. While it can be tailored to suit a project's needs, Studio 342's design process is based on three key principles:
- Understand - The first step to a successful design is to listen to our client’s goals. Once our staff determines a project's program and goals, we are able to incorporate them into a design.
- Create - Studio 342 works directly with its clients during design phases, bouncing ideas back and forth, until the design meets the project program and goals.
- Realize - Once a design is developed, Studio 342 professional staff works with clients through the construction planning process to bring the landscape design to life.
